I always desire to maintain work-life effectiveness wherever I am and whatever I do. Life is not all about work. But we work to live. And when we work, I believe we should not just work hard but work smart as well. So as much as possible I see to it that I optimize my office working time so I won’t have to render overtime work.
We work so we can provide food for our family. But let not our work be a reason for the family’s disintegration when we don’t have time anymore for those people we care for. We have to remember that work is just one aspect of life.
One good reminder in Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
